The physical-sport activities in the Roman Betic region

Nowadays we have a Deep knowledge about the world in Toman times, specially with the shift that has taken place in the last years in archaeology and historical research, with mayor events and the biography of great personajes been somehow dismissed in the Benefit of the daily lives of common citizens. In this sense, a lot has been discovered about usual aspects of Roma citizens’ lives among others about their amusement and entertainment practices, both public and private; nevertheless, the physical activities providing fun and entertainment to the Spanish-Roman people living in the Baetica province os Hispania are largely unknown. This work tries to compile the basic sources found so far in our región, which can be the basis to get to know the physical activities that were practised by those first Andalusian people for training and recreation purposes.
