Andalusian hunting lands in Alfonso XI’s work “Libro de la montería”

In the 14th century, Alfonso XI, king of Castile, offers in his “Libro de la montería” a clear account of Spanish mountains and their Woodland and hunting resources. The seven last chapters of the work are entirely devoted to the hunting lands existing in Andalusia at that time. This study describes each of those lands, providing comments on the type of wildlife and its location.
