The work of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn: contributions to modern olympic movement

The objective of the study is to analyze the live and work of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, placing his figure in Germany in late illustrated and early nineteenth century, and valuing their contributions to modern Olympism. His work was developed in Germany through an immense movement associated with physical practice and affirmation of national identity, becoming an important reference for all subsequent physical-sports movements, such as the Modern Olympic Movement.
