Doping and antidoping. Historical perspectives

Doping has been a changing phenomenon throughout history. In order to explain this development, we have made a periodization that distinguishes between a) Natural or naturist doping; b) chemical doping; c) systematized chemical doping and, d) biotechnology doping. In the second part of the text, our focus will be analyzing the international sports institutions reaction against doping. This periodization of the fight against doping will emphasize the creation of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and the new World Anti-Doping Code to come into force in 2015.Downloads
