The sport psychology of Pierre de Coubertin: genesis, features, obstacles

This paper analyzes the attempt of Coubertin to develop a psychology applied to sport from the point of view of its dynamics, content and scientific basis, to understand its stages and resistances and obstacles. The psychology conceived by Coubertin throughout his work is constituted by a sports psychology and young manhood and mixing different theoretical models. Thus, it is isolated from contemporary scientific environment from the point of view of its content and its methodology.Downloads
