Keywords:
sport, politics, State, Argentina.Abstract
The present work intends to analyze the inscription of the sport in the Argentine National State in the period 1989-2015. From the analysis of primary and secondary sources, we will focus on state agencies in charge of establishing guidelines for sports policies. For that we will consider the administrative hierarchy, the actors who toke positions and the main meaning assigned to sport. Along this way we will try to discuss the relationship between the guidelines assigned to the sport and its linkage with the state political guidelines within the period. To this end, we will pay special attention to the categories used and the processes of constructing narratives about the meanings of sport in politics. This paper seeks to be a first analysis on this topic about the recent past in Argentina.
