This volume contains four papers that define the conceptual framework of a research project on the rental housing market in Argentine cities, carried out with the objective of identifying useful categories for the empirical analysis of this object of study. Different studies demonstrate an increase in household rental housing in different cities around the world, which goes hand in hand with the macroeconomic deregulation transformations of recent decades. This research seeks to understand and conceptually delimit how the residential rental market is structured, identifying relevant analytical dimensions and theoretical categories that enable empirical studies in specific contexts, to understand how the rental housing market is configured in urban agglomerations of different scales and socio-productive profiles of Argentina. These papers are the result of a review of specialized literature on the topic, and their results deepen the theoretical foundation of the project and recover key background information on the structural and structuring dimensions of the object in question.
