Abstract

Risk assessment methodologies in construction, both qualitative and quantitative, are often communicated timelessly, complicating interpretation and impacting the safety climate. This study introduces the Level of Preventive Action methodology, which evaluates risks during construction processes and workplace safety while integrating communication criteria to assess the safety climate.
The method combines quantitative and qualitative frameworks. The Quantitative Framework assigns numerical values based on factors like project complexity, risk exposure, and safety measures. The Qualitative Framework uses linguistic criteria to interpret the safety climate considering worker location and behavior. Lastly, the Congruent Framework synthesizes these results to establish effective preventive control communication.
This methodology integrates neuroscience, communication, and social behavior knowledge, enhanced by BIM technology and artificial intelligence. It uses body and zone sensors to monitor and optimize machine-human interaction.
