Abstract
Resistance supposes an effort or a condition against threat, this resistance can be achieved through geometry and material. In some cases, the threats are obvious and in other cases passive.
Are we aware of the implications of living or working in front of a highway?
Perhaps buildings, as static entities, rarely respond to constant dynamics such as speed or noise associated with movement. The project takes as a starting point resistance to these two phenomena, and at the same time resistance to a context, which, due to weak regulations and planning, is exposed to a series of eventualities in the future.
Architecture and concrete will be the tools that allow to transform and mediate between the instability of non-human movement, and the stability required in a space intended for people.
