Water was and is the source of life, and its natural behaviour, called the water cycle, makes the difference between a more or less profitable space on a social, environmental and economic level. One part of the water cycle is infiltration into the ground when it reaches the earth's surface in the form of atmospheric precipitation. Infiltration brings clear benefits among which we can list: the reduction of energy poverty in urbanised environments; better quality of life for its inhabitants; the contribution to the general sustainability of civilisation and also less ethereal and more palpable benefits such as lower consumption of resources, urban viability in certain cases, the resolution of administrative problems or professional recognition that undoubtedly results in better business development and greater prestige. So why not abandon the centralised management of runoff and adopt decentralised technologies?
