Este documento contiene una explicación de los principales procedimientos y resultados de un estudio realizado por estudiantes avanzados de arquitectura, para evaluar el desempeño lumínico de un espacio construido, perteneciente al proyecto de diseño Distrito U Cowork, en el cantón de Montes de Oca, San José, Costa Rica. Se evaluó tanto el comportamiento de la luz natural como artificial, en relación con los tipos de luminarias, los materiales de las superficies, y las aberturas realizadas en el diseño propuesto. Posteriormente, se realizaron modificaciones al diseño, para optimizar el comportamiento de la luz en el espacio interno. Este trabajo forma parte del análisis realizado durante el Módulo Solar en el Taller de diseño de Arquitectura Tropical de la Universidad de Costa Rica.
Abstract
This document contains an explanation of the main procedures and results of a study carried out by advanced architecture students, to evaluate the light performance of a built space, belonging to the U Cowork District design project, in the canton of Montes de Oca, San José , Costa Rica. Both the behavior of natural and artificial light were evaluated, in relation to the types of luminaires, the materials of the surfaces, and the openings made in the proposed design. Subsequently, modifications were made to the design, to optimize the behavior of light in the internal space. This work is part of the analysis carried out during the Solar Module in the Tropical Architecture Design Workshop of the University of Costa Rica.
