NEW WORDS IN CONCRETE

A text by Javier Carvajal reflecting on the capacity of concrete to bring new words, new clear and different ideas to architecture, is the trigger to start a tour of concrete architecture in Madrid. Along with the masterpieces of the golden age of concrete around the 60s and 70s, other works, rescued by the revision of the urban plan of Madrid by incorporating them into the expanded catalog of protected buildings, are analyzed and put in relation. New words are thus incorporated that help us to think about the capabilities of concrete as an architectural material.
