Abstract

Abstract

In this work the characteristics in the fresh state of a self-compacting concrete (SCC) reinforced with steel fibers (SCCSF) have been studied. The results obtained allow us to verify that, despite the fiber content of the concrete, which contributes to significantly reduce the characteristics of self-compactability, the concrete can be defined as self-compacting with the requirements of Instruction EHE 08. However, the SFC tested It has a relatively low fiber dosage, 0.4% by weight of concrete, so the results obtained cannot be extrapolated to SFC with higher fiber content.
