Resumen
Los procesos de gentrificación han ido evolucionando y mutando sus características. Madrid, en tanto que una ciudad de rango global está expuesta a estos cambios, uno de cuyos principales peligros reside en su detección temprana para la adopción de contramedidas que palíen sus efectos negativos. Una de las características de los nuevos procesos es su extensión fuera de los ámbitos centrales históricos de las ciudades, que concentran las principales actividades económicas, culturales, turísticas, de ocio, etc, a ámbitos territoriales previamente no afectados; en el caso de Madrid, fuera de la Almendra Central. Este artículo explora la hipótesis nuevos procesos de gentrificación en nuevas “centralidades ampliadas”, que en este caso se acotan a los distritos al sur del Rio Manzanares, mediante la aplicación de nuevas metodologías, con el uso de Big Data y datos abiertos, en combinación con aspectos cualitativos, para la evaluación, en la medida de los posible, de estos nuevos procesos, identificando los nuevos ámbitos afectados, y exponiendo las limitaciones de estos análisis cuantitativos con los datos accesibles en la actualidad.
Abstract
Gentrification processes have evolved and changed their characteristics. Madrid, as a global city, is exposed to these changes, one of the main dangers of which lies in its early detection for the adoption of countermeasures that mitigate their negative effects. One of the characteristics of the new processes is their extension outside the central historical areas of the cities, which concentrate the main economic, cultural, tourist, leisure activities, etc. in the case of Madrid, outside the Central Almond. This article explores the hypothesis of new gentrification processes in new “expanded centralities”, which in this case are limited to the districts south of the Manzanares River, through the application of new methodologies, with the use of Big Data and open data, in combination. with qualitative aspects, for the evaluation, as far as possible, of these new processes, identifying the new areas affected, and exposing the limitations of these quantitative analyzes with the data currently accessible
