Abstract:
In the early years of the XXth century, the lack of discipline on urbanism corpus momentum and led the creation of a series of communication and discussion forums that were used to share experiences and purposes. The movements of ideas were not taking place in only one direction but in both senses. Gradually it was forming a society of planners with their own institutions, their meeting places, and with its own language. It was an international society in which individuals had a significantly greater weight to national groups. This professional movement developed through direct media such as courses, seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions and contests, and indirect media, such as the publication of articles in journals, technical and scientific books, and translations, editions of manuals and essays, and projects and extension plans of cities, interacting with each other. From 1918, César Cort Botí, from his town planning chair at theSchool ofArchitecture inMadrid, was joining to this international network of urban knowledge.
