En el presente artículo se trata sobre el desarrollo tecnológico del hormigón como material prácticamente universal. Se recogen los avances más significativos que pueden dar lugar a cambios en la concepción del hormigón, desde la composición y forma de sus componentes hasta los sistemas de puesta en obra. Por último se reflexiona sobre la importancia de conservar el patrimonio en hormigón en términos de transmisión de la herencia constructiva a las futuras generaciones, sostenibilidad y economía circular.
Abstract
This article deals with the technological development of concrete as a practically universal material. The most significant advances that can give rise to changes in the conception of concrete are collected, from the composition and shape of its components to the installation systems. Finally, it reflects on the importance of conserving heritage in concrete in terms of transmission of the construction heritage to future generations, sustainability, and circular economy.
